“I do my best with breath.”
We had 5 Prana Power Yoga ✨🙏🏻✨ studios for 16 years in Massachusetts and NYC and I heard every excuse for why someone “couldn’t do yoga”:
I don’t have the right clothes.
I don’t have the right body.
I’m not flexible.
I’m not athletic.
I’m not spiritual.
It’s too hot.
It’s too cold.
I’m too tired.
I’m too anxious.
I’m too depressed.
I’m scared.
I’m not Buddhist.
I don’t want to transform.
It’s raining.
It’s snowing.
It’s too early.
It’s too late.
You get the idea.
So I would say, “Just show up and breathe. That’s all you need to do. Just do your best, with breath.”
And I meant it! I mean everything I say. Why say it if you don’t mean it?🤔🤔
I later made a tee shirt that said, “I do my best with breath” on it and they sold like hotcakes. 🥞🥞
So that’s it, my friends. Just do your best, with breath. Whatever you’re doing.
No one and I mean NO ONE is perfect. There’s no such thing. They have a story you know nothing about.
I tell my 5 Chickens 🐣🐣🐣🐣🐣 that 90% of life is showing up. Just show up, and do your best, with breath.
